9. Hirohito

Hirohito was the emperor of Japan and also one of the most notorious dictators ever. He encouraged individuals to commit suicide instead of being taken as prisoners. Not only that, he advised them that their decision to commit suicide would earn them a fantastic place in the afterlife. He was responsible for the cruel acts committed by the imperial forces in the Second Sino-Japanese War and in World War I. Over 1000 Japanese civilians lost their lives. He had been responsible for the ‘Nanking Massacre’ that took the lives of a huge number of individuals. He wasn’t tried for war crimes due to his position. He died of cancer.
