The Core of Westeros lies in King’s Landing that’s filmed from the magnificent town of Dubrovnik. The town is a popular tourist attraction. Since the 15th and 16th centuries, the town has prospered particularly in the marine trade. The place has been used in each period of the series that has boosted its popularity.
The dramatic shoreline and rolling countryside of ‘County Antrim’ have provided plenty of locations for Game of Thrones. The picture-postcard village of Ballintoy has been Lordsport on Pyke, the island foundation for its Greyjoy clan, rulers of this Viking-like Iron Islanders. Inland, Black Hedges Road, near Ballymoney, stood for the part of this Kingsroad and Arya Stark fled from King Joffrey’s soldiers.
